The part of rescue worth framing

Every dog here started somewhere hard. These are the families who took the next step.

Adoption stories

“Seeing Shadow happy, loved, and thriving is exactly why we do what we do.”

Shadow came to our facility from another rescue after being left in our care when they became overwhelmed by taking in more dogs than they could support.

We stepped in, cared for her, and made sure she had a safe and loving place to stay while we searched for the home she deserved. Through our social media community, we were able to connect Shadow with an amazing family who gave her a loving forever home.

And the best part? Shadow still comes back to visit us sometimes! Seeing her happy, loved, and thriving is exactly why we do what we do.

“Rupert greets every day like it is the best one yet — and now he gets to share it with a family of his own.”

Rupert came to us as a young shepherd mix with a heart too big for the shelter kennel. This soft golden goofball leaned in for every scratch and greeted new people with a full-body wiggle.

Through our social media community, we found him a family who saw exactly what we saw. Today Rupert spends his days getting all the scratches he asks for, with a backyard to zoom in and people to adore him.

“Two dogs, one home, one unbreakable bond — Daisy and Ellie proved that family doesn't have to come one at a time.”

Daisy and Ellie came to us as a bonded pair — inseparable best friends who had only ever had each other. Splitting them up was never an option we were willing to consider.

We kept them together through every step of their stay, and through our social media community we found a family willing to open their home to both. The moment Daisy and Ellie walked into that living room together, they settled in like they had always been there.

Today they share a couch, a yard, and a family who loves them both. Their story is a reminder that sometimes the best rescue outcomes come in pairs.

“Klee used to wait for a kind word before she moved — now she gets them all day long.”

Klee came to us as a young shepherd mix with the softest eyes and the gentlest heart. Wherever she went, she found a quiet spot nearby, lay down, and simply waited to be invited in.

Through our social media community, we found her a family who understood that the most patient dogs sometimes need the most patience in return. Today Klee is no longer waiting for permission — she is part of the family.

“Rosemary came in small enough to fit in two hands — now she has a whole family who cannot wait to see what she grows into.”

Rosemary was found in an unincorporated area of Los Angeles and came into our care as an 8-week-old shepherd mix puppy — small enough to fit in two hands, and needing round-the-clock feeding, warmth, and patience.

We fostered her through her first weeks and, through our social media community, found a family ready to raise a puppy the slow way. We cover the cost of her spay when she is old enough, so her adopters could focus entirely on helping her settle in.

Today Rosemary is growing up with soft bedding to sprawl on, a yard to explore, and people who are already used to the sound of her nails on the floor.

“Wrangler never asked for much — a soft spot to lie down and someone nearby. Now he gets both, all day long.”

Wrangler came to us as a young adult brindle Labrador and shepherd mix weighing 32 pounds — calm, easygoing, and the kind of dog who would rather watch a room than make a fuss in it.

He settled into foster care without a single dramatic moment, and it did not take long for our social media community to find a family who wanted exactly the gentle companion he already was.

Today he has a soft bed by the door, a family who reads him perfectly, and a forever home that never had to work hard to win him over.
